THE PROJECT

Use Cases

HealthyCloud develops two real world use cases to demonstrate how the collaboration of different actors in the use and reuse of health data leads to better research outcomes independently of the condition being analysed.

These use cases will also challenge current assumptions and validate the domain-specific and technological guidelines, recommendations and specifications developed in the project. In that way, they will contribute towards a model that can be quickly adopted and facilitate its sustainability.

   Uncovering high-risk cancer profiles

This use case will explore and assess how genomic information, gathered at population level, can contribute to develop high-risk profiles for the major risk factors for cancer. It will explore how to link genomic data with the European Health Examination Survey (EHES), the European Health Interview Survey (EHIS), cancer registries and socioeconomic data.

   Diagnosis of Atrial Fibrillation

The second use case will analyse ways for early and precise diagnosis of Atrial Fibrillation (AF). For this use case, the link between health and clinical data, imaging data, electrocardiogram (ECG) signals, genetic variants, biomarkers and lifestyle information will be explored.
