ATRIAL FIBRILLATION USE CASE FEATURED IN CORDIS

Date: December 02, 2022

On 30 November, CORDIS, the EU´s primary source of results from the projects funded by EU-funded projects, published an article about the HealthyCloud-authored publication, ‘Atrial fibrillation prediction by combining ECG markers and CMR radiomics’.  The CORDIS article highlighted the study’s novelty and its important conclusion that a combination of electrocardiogram (ECG) and radiomics models could improve the future diagnostic options of women at risk of AF.

The HealthyCloud project focuses on two real-world use cases: the diagnosis of AF and uncovering high-risk cancer profiles. These use cases demonstrate how the collaboration of different actors in the use and reuse of health data leads to better research outcomes. This message was further relayed at HealthyCloud’s dissemination event on 29 November in Brussels, which featured the participation of EC policy-makers, researchers, and project partners and reinforced the project’s commitment to creating a roadmap forward for the Health and Research Innovation Cloud within the context of the European Health Data Space for secondary use (HealthData@EU) and the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
